Organizations |
| The
Graduate Student Association
(GSA) is the governing organization for all graduate and professional
schools in New Brunswick. Under its auspices, discipline-centered
groups provide academic and social support for members in the
arts and sciences. Many of the professional schools maintain
student groups organized around ethnicity or gender. Among these
organizations are the Black
Students of Professional Psychology Programs, the Chinese
MBA Student Association, the Association
of Latin American Law Students, the Asian/Pacific-American
Law Students Association, and The
Association for Women in Communications. |

Excellence
Fellowships are available through the Graduate School-New
Brunswick, as well as teaching and research assistantships,
and discipline-based scholarships. Diversity
Advancement Program Fellowships, Ralph
Bunche Fellowships, and the Minority
Biomedical Research Support (MBRS) Program help provide
assistance to students of underrepresented populations. Bunting-Cobb
Fellowships offer room, board and a stipend to women
in Math, Science and Engineering. Many professional schools
have specific award opportunities for graduate students.
The Teaching
Assistant Project (TAP) promotes excellence in undergraduate
and graduate education through the professional development
of teaching assistants. The main components of TAP are pre-term
orientation, ongoing training, discipline-specific training
within each program and written materials designed for TAs of
the Graduate School-New Brunswick.
Additional support is available through the Teaching
Excellence Centers, the Office
of Research and Sponsored Programs , the Resource
Center for Graduate Student External Support (CHaSeR)
and the Office of Instructional
Technology. |
